Chase Account:Hurricane
Ike was a tough Hurricane for me because I had missed
chasing Gustav and Ike was the Hurricane I was going to
chase. Look at the image below and you will see many
tropical systems lined up in a row and I didn't get to chase
ANY of them. 2006 and 2007 were really quiet season for the
USA as far as Hurricanes and the year I decide to live in
South America for a photo shoot all hell breaks loose in the
tropics. I haven't missed a hurricane in over 8 years and
this year I would miss a few but the only consolation is
Hurricane Ike hit at night so it would have been impossible
to document and Hurricane Gustav hit an area that is just
too dangerous and risky to chase because of the low lying
swamp lands of Louisiana.
