Ultimate Chase, Inc. Goes Worldwide For Hurricane Katrina Coverage
(August 2005) - Ultimate Chase Inc. goes worldwide with the dramatic Hurricane Katrina storm surge caught on video in Gulfport, Mississippi. This rare video has been broadcasted in Japan, Canada, Australia, England, and on USA networks such as NBC, CNBC, MSNBC, CNN, FOX, National Geographic, and The Weather Channel. Ultimate Chase founder Mike Theiss teams up with Jim Reed Photography to document storm surge over 28 feet from a Gulfport Beach Holiday Inn. The video includes rare scenes such as rolling storm surge waves coming through the hotel lobby, vehicles floating through the lobby, large battering waves crashing into the hotel, winds over 120mph thrashing tress, Furniture and household appliances floating about, as well as a documentation of how high the storm surge rose and a recorded timeframe of when the storm surge came up and how fast it receded.
 Ultimate Chase successfully deployed a waterproof camera housing in the lobby of the Holiday Inn which captured the lobby being destroyed piece by piece. This rare look into the destruction is a "First Ever" look into the frightening power of surge water, No human could have survived to personally record these scenes.
Ultimate Chase also documented Hurricane Katrina's first landfall in Ft. Lauderdale. Video includes winds over 100mph thrashing palm trees on the beach, Tourists out walking in the wind and getting blown down, as well as the flooding that occurred in the Homestead area due to heavy rains.
