Documenting the
"Spring Tides" in the Florida Keys rates in my top 10
favorite photo shoots of all time. During the full moon the
tides in the Florida Keys become very dramatic either very
high or very low. During these extreme low tides the shallow
areas are more visible and some places actually stick out of
the water when normally they would not. Also the water tends
to be cleaner and crystal clear because the tide coming in
and out acts as a filter of sorts and cleans out most the
sediment in the water (as long as its not too windy). I knew
the view would be good but had no idea just how amazing it
would be. I was pleasantly surprised !! A special thanks to
my girlfriend Andrea for taking the photo above. |
